Infrastructure Technical Architect (Top UK Clearing House)
Design of solutions for new Euro clearing system (scaling to several trillion Euro/year in transactions), working closely with IT infrastructure and procurement on solution design and coordinating ITTs. Strategic and short term designs and plans for enterprise SAN, Storage, Backup solution, etc.

Head of Professional Services (IT Reseller)
Managing the PS function and delivering Unix and storage related services for an IT reseller (£20m turnover) in the Unix space, engaging sub-contractors as required, managing customers and engagements.

Lead Consultant / Solution Architect (IT Distributor)
Providing professional services to the client's customers (IT resellers), training new team members, managing PS engagements

Storage Migration (IT Vendor)
Planned and implemented the migration of 80+ servers, 40 TB from older Symmetrix hardware onto newly purchased DMX3000 and DMX-3 hardware. Completed within six months, on time and on budget.

Professional Services (Tier 1 Storage Vendor)
Providing Solution Architect resource to the Vendor’s Technical Solutions Group. Post Sales CLARiiON SAN design, with elements of implementation and Symmetrix thrown in.

Professional Services (Unix Vendor / Mobile Telco)
Gather and provide up to date maps of a complex, n-tier (27 VLAN, 100+ device) web facing network, debug SunCluster’ed servers, and bring staging environment into line with Live environment. The client has subsequently requested our services via Sun several times.

Disaster Recovery Implementation (Bank)
Implementing a Disaster Recovery solution for the bank’s central fileservers. Stretch-SAN solution, using Veritas Cluster Server, Sun SAN hardware, and EMC/McData SAN hardware. We were responsible for the end to end solution, hardware, software and documentation.

SAN Implementation (Vendor / Energy Co.)
Rapid Implementation of a CLARiiON/Symmetrix SAN, installation of McData directors, design and configuration of maxed out CX700 CLARiiON, fibre cabling, SAN configuration, provision on Symmetrix DMX. Completed in a fortnight.

Professional Services (Grid Vendor)
Team and technical lead for the team contracted to the Vendor on the a large UK Grid project, Help build, design, document, explain, troubleshoot the 3000 CPU compute farm, all network equipment, SAN and Grid system software.

Training (Transportation Customer)
Creation and delivery of "AIX to Solaris" conversion course for international airport management company (one day overview, to deliver on a Sunday!). I was able to create and deliver the course within a fortnight, and the customer was extremely satisfied, both with the course content and delivery, but also with the flexibility in timing.
